What If? III

"I guess I won't argue." she laughed as she grabbed her bag.

Once he made sure that she was ready, he walked her down to her car. "So, I had a really nice time tonight. I hope we can do it again soon or at least keep in contact."

"So did I... maybe if we get to do this again, I won't fall asleep on you." She laughed, a little embarrassed.

He chuckled. "Well I didn't mind at all. You look really cute when you're sleeping anyway."

Blushing again, lol. "Well I'm glad you liked it..." she took a chance and leaned forward to kiss his cheek. "Goodnight, Phil."

He grinned a bit and opened her door for her. "Goodnight, Lacy. Text me to let me know you made it home okay."

"I will." She got in the car and closed the door, driving off.

Over the past few months, Phil and Lacy had been talking, hanging out and going on dates with each other more and more. They were boyfriend and girlfriend now, enjoying their time together. Whenever she was in town, Punk always made time for her and still stuck to going to his training and such. Of course, when she was back home, they skyped and whatnot. Punk really loved having Lacy in his life and well, he wanted her in his life permanently. Being in the military, you never knew what could happen and he didn't want to wait any longer. He went out with his friend, Colt, lol...and they went ring shopping during the week. It took Punk a while but he found the perfect ring for her and would propose to her when she came by later.

Lacy was currently on her way to Punk's place. She'd made the decision to move to North Carolina and so far, she hadn't regretted it. She and Phil continued to date and sooner than later, she found herself falling for him and falling for him hard. Her friend thought that maybe they were moving too fast, but Lacy wasn't trying to hear that, lol. They loved each other and that was pretty much that. She got to his apartment and went to his door, using the key that he gave her a while back to let herself in. "Babe?" she called for him.

"In the bedroom." he told her. When Lacy would walk into his room, she'd see Punk on one knee, holding a box with this ring in it. On the floor, he had will you marry me? spelled out in rose petals and had the room lit up by candles and such. He wanted this to be special for her.

She walked in the room and was confused by the dim lighting, but she let out a small gasp when she saw him down on one knee. She couldn't fight back the grin on her face. "Really?"

"Really." he chuckled. "Lace, these past few months have been the best months of my life and honestly, I don't see myself with anybody else but you. I love you and I want you in my life forever." he told her. "So, Claire Lacy Black, will you marry me?"

Fire up the tears. She nodded, offering him her left hand. "Yes."

He took the ring out of the box and placed it on her left, ring finger. He then stood up to kiss her.

She kissed him passionately and pulled away, keeping her hands on the side of his neck. She was still crying. "I love you."

"I love you too." he told her as he wiped her tears away with the pads of his thumbs.

She looked down at her ring and let out a small, incredulous laugh. "We're getting married," she said happily.

"We are." he laughed a bit. "And I'm going to make you so happy, Lacy. We're going to have it all."

"I'm already happy." She grinned up at him.

"Well you're going to be happier." he chuckled.

She giggled and kissed his cheek before wrapping her arms around him tightly in a hug. Happily ever after, right?

Well then, some months had passed and Lacy and Punk got married. They had a nice wedding with all their family and friends, now Lacy was living with Punk on the base where all married couples stayed. They had a nice little home there and of course, they met other couples and stuff. Lacy was currently pregnant with their first child and well, Punk had something to tell her. He walked into the house. "Lace?" he called out as he closed the door and looked over the mail.

So far, married life had been great for them. Living on the base wasn't horrible, but she did wish they lived somewhere else. She was currently four months pregnant with their first child and so far, things were going well with her pregnancy. She looked over when she saw Phil walk in. "Hey babe. How was training?" she asked.

"It was great." he nodded. "Did a lot of stuff today, so I'll probably sleep all night." he chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her belly. "How are you doing today?" he asked as he kissed her neck.

"I was a little sick this morning after you left but I'm okay." she nodded and turned her head to give him a small kiss. "What's up with you?"
