What If? III

Punk was currently sleeping on the bed of his tour bus, an arm wrapped around Lacy. Even though he wasn't working for the WWE anymore, he kept the bus for when he had long trips for other shows and appearances. Lacy was going with him this time and so were the kids, who were all sleeping soundly in their bunks, except the twins who were in a bassinet in Punk's room. Before falling asleep, Lacy was watching some show about military people coming home and surprising their families and it was pretty cool to see. Apparently Punk thought about it after it ended because now...well...Punk was dreaming about what would happen if he and Lacy went through it.

Phil was stationed at a base in North Carolina, so he had to live there for a few months. Today he wasn't at training, so he went to the supermarket to buy a few things for his place. After getting some food he wanted, he started to walk up the aisle, heading to the register...when he saw her. He couldn't help but to stare at Lacy, who he thought looked really pretty as she focused on looking for whatever item she was looking for. He wanted to speak to her somehow, but didn't know exactly what to say. Apparently God was on his side because as she went to leave the aisle, he saw that she had dropped her wallet and obviously picked it up to give it to her. "Excuse me, Miss.' he called out.

Lacy heard a voice calling for her and turned around, seeing a man approach her. She couldn't help but notice that he was incredibly good looking, but didn't know what he wanted. Certainly it wasn't to ask her out? "Yes?" She asked.

He walked over to her. "I believe this is yours." he said handing her the wallet. "It fell and I didn't want you to leave it behind."

"Oh. Um, thank you." She said taking the wallet. "That was sweet of you."

He chuckled a bit and nodded. "You're welcome. I know how much it can suck, I've lost my wallet before and it's not fun."

"Well it's good to know you've got a heart." She laughed a little. "Well, I've got to get going now. Thanks again." She smiled and went to walk off.

He didn't want to bug her...buuuuuuuut lol, he at least wanted to know her name. Soooo, right before she walked off. "By the way, my name is Phil." he told her. "And you're welcome, Miss....?"

She looked back at him with a small smile. Well, he was pretty cute, but she figured she was never gonna see him again, so, "Claire."

"Claire." He nodded. "It's nice to meet you." He said..then stood there for a moment. "I know this is probably going to be weird to ask but I was wondering if maybe I could take ypi out sometime. Unless you're with somebody already."

Well, color her shocked. "Like... A date?"

"Yeah." He nodded. "A date."

"I can't say I do this often, but... sure. Why not." She nodded.

He chuckled and nodded as well. "Great, I don't usually do this either." he said as he took out his phone to get her number.

She took the phone from him and saved her number in his phone before giving it back to him. "Call me some time." She smiled a little before smiling and walking away.

He nodded and watched her leave, then went to pay for his stuff and head home. Later that night, Punk finally took up the courage to call Claire, lol.

Lacy's phone rang and she went to go pick it up. She didn't recognize the number, and frowned a little, answering and holding it to her ear. "..hello?"

"Claire?"

She frowned a little at the use of her first name. She'd gotten busy that night so she momentarily forgot about Phil, lol. "Um, yes? May I ask who's calling?"

"It's Phil, from the supermarket. I returned your wallet." he told her.

"Oh, hi Phil," she said brightly. "I didn't recognize your number, sorry about that."

"It's okay." he chuckled. "I figured I would call to set up our date and find out when would be a good time."

"Oh." she blushed a little. "Well, I'm free this weekend."

"Same here." he nodded. "Would Saturday night be good for you? I figured maybe I would cook and invite you over here."

Sketch, lol. Well, he seemed nice enough, and not the type to lure her somewhere to chop her up and dump her in the woods, lol... "Sure, that sounds great." she nodded, though he couldn't see her. Stupid.

"And we'll get to know each other better." he chuckled. "I promise I'm not a murderer. Though...maybe know you'll think I am since I mentioned it." he snorted. "I'm shutting up. I'll text you during the week, if that's okay."
