"Do what I always do, run over to Colt's and talk."

"Ah." She chuckled. "The usual."

"It was either that or chug down some Pepsi." he joked.

"I'm sure you did that, too." She chuckled. "Let me guess, talked about what a jerk I was?"

"Somewhat." he chuckled.

"Uh huh, sure." She chuckled.

A Year Earlier

Colt was hanging out in his room, waiting for Phil to come by. He called him earlier and sounded upset, so he said he could come over. He looked over and when there was banging on the door, he got up the answer. "Alright alright." He said as he got up and opened the door. "What is wrong with you?"

"Lacy is what's wrong with me." he said as he walked into Colt's place.

Colt sighed as he closed the door behind him. "What did she do now?"

"She just...ugh. She dropped the kids off and then we argued about the divorce papers. I told her I wouldn't sign them."

"That's what you two do all of the time." Colt shrugged. "What's got you so mad this time?"

"She accused me of never caring."

[did you sign off?]

"What...? You're not giving much to work with, Bud."

"She said I never cared about her and the kids while I was on the road and that's bullshit."

"I know it is and you do too, so why are you so mad?" He asked.

"Because I'm showing her that I do care and I am doing everything in my power to make her come back....but it's like she doesn't fucking listen. She doesn't want to hear it. It's like she wants to pretend that we didn't even happen or anything."

"I don't know what you want me to do or say, man." Colt said. "I get the feeling that you just need to rant."

"That's...kind of true." he chuckled a bit. "I just...I give up man. I think I'll just give her the god damn divorce so she can move on with her life. I guess I fucked up real bad for her to want to leave. She said she doesn't want to be trapped in this marriage." he said as he plopped down on Colt's couch.

"She said she feels trapped?" Colt raised an eyebrow. "I don't know man, maybe she was just mad."

"I don't think so, I think she meant it."

"I mean, what makes you think you messed up? What did she say?" Colt asked. "Lace has made it a point not to talk to me since this whole thing went down so I really don't know."

"Well like I said, she told me she felt trapped in a marriage that she doesn't want to be in and that I never cared about her and the kids while I was on the road. Then of course, I had a few things to say to her....then she said it's not like I'm not still doing what I was before, which she says was spend a few days with them, buy the kids a few toys and hand them off back to her while I go to work. Apparently it's all I ever did and that the only difference is that when I'm upstairs at night, she's not there." he sighed. "I just want them back, Colt. I want Lacy back....but I think she's already too far gone."

"Geez." Colt whistled lowly as Phil told him what happened. "I'm not trying to be on anyone's side here, but if she said all that then it's obvious it had been going on for a while?" Which made him think that Punk wasn't paying attention to signs or something of the like.

"I noticed she had been kind of distant and took in account that maybe it's because I'm not home often...but other than that...not really."

Scott rolled his eyes. "You noticed she was distant but other than that, not really? You dope." He smacked him upside the head.

"Owwww." he said as he rubbed his head.
