Acting on Instinct

"Hm, well...we can watch The Other Guys."

He smiled. "you love that movie, don't you?"

"I do." she laughed. "I can't help it."

"It's okay...it's a good movie." he smiled a little.

"Just good? You're crazy."

"I'm sure if I were in a better mood, it'd be an amazing movie." he pointed out.

"Right." she nodded as she got up the get the movie and put it in.

He held her close as the movie started.

"Maybe you should go downstairs to the gym or something, blow off some steam." she suggested as she settled against him. "If the movie doesn't help you."

"I'll think about it." he nodded as he watched with her.

"Okay." she said as she just continued to watch the movie. Eventually she found herself ready to doze off and was just going to sleep. Plus with AJ in a bad mood, she wasn't going to keep bothering him. "I'm tired, I'm going to sleep." she told him.

"You sure?" he asked gently. "Want me to turn the movie off?"

"Mhm, positive." she nodded. "If you're not going to watch it, then yes please."

He nodded, turning it off. "I think I'm gonna go to the gym like you said."

"Okay, have a uh....good session?" she chuckled a little.

"Thanks...I'll make sure to be quiet when I get back." he said as he changed for a work out.

"Thanks." she nodded.

He changed and headed down to the gym to work out.

So there was somebody else in the gym and that somebody was Daniels. He knew what he did earlier was a big mistake, it wasn't intentional....it just...happened. So he was frustrated with himself because of it and decided to just hit the gym and try to get his mind off of it.

AJ had been lifting weights when he saw someone else come in. He saw it was Chris and he immediately got tense.

He saw AJ and well noticed that he looked pissed. Yeah, he probably found out. It was now or never to get this over with. "You found out, I'm assuming." he said, approaching AJ.

"Yeah...she told me." he said, dropping the weight he was holding. "How could you do that, man?" he asked straight out.

"I don't know, wasn't thinking." he said as he rubbed over his head. "Look, it wasn't intentional...I guess after everything I'm going through with my wife...well ex, I just got lost in the moment. She was talking to me and assuring me things would be okay and before I could even think about it, I kissed her."

AJ just shook his head. "You're my best friend. And you kissed my wife. I hear what you're telling me and in my head I get it. But...Chris...come on."

"It was stupid of me, I know." he said. "I never thought in a million years I would ever do anything like that...especially to you, it just...got a hold of me. I know sorry isn't going to cut it...but I really am sorry for it. Just know though, that I don't see her in any other way or even think about her in any other way....except being your wife. It was a bad decision on my part and I feel horrible."
