Sharing the News

"Katie!" Candice burst into her best friend's office without knocking, too excited to go through the polite pretenses. She wasn't here as a Diva but to share her exciting news with her best friend.

Katie jumped when Candice ran into her office. She looked at her best friend and usually would get mad when someone came in without knocking but Candice was an exception.

"What's going on?" Katie asked with a laugh.

Candice couldn't contain it anymore. "Jeff proposed! We're getting married!" She squealed.

Katie looked at Candice in shock then smiled and stood up.

"Are you serious?" Katie asked as her smile widened.

"Yes," She held her hand out. "He did it yesterday when I got home from Matt's! Can you believe it?!"

Katie looked down at the ring then looked up at Candice and hugged her.

"Oh my god! I'm so happy for you both!" Katie exclaimed.

Candice laughed, hugging her back. "Thanks Kaite! You'll be my Maid of Honor right? I can't imagine it being anyone else."

"Of course I will, you're my best friend and future sister in-law." Katie said.

She looked at Candice with the smile still on her face.

"So have you both picked a date yet?" Katie asked.

Candice shook her head. "No, I've been too busy flying on Cloud Nine." She laughed. "We basically decided it's going to be a Hardy family affair, since Matt's going to be Best Man, Kenny in the Groom's men and I'm going to ask Ellie to be a bridesmaid. And that's as far as we've gotten."

Katie nodded.

"This is so exciting, I can't believe my brother and my best friend are getting married." Katie said

Candice beamed. "I still think I'm dreaming sometimes."

Katie looked at Candice then pinched her on the arm.

"Ow!" Candice jumped, before laughing at Katie. "Mean, but effective. Thank you."

"You're welcome, now you know that you're not dreaming." Katie said with a grin.

Candice laughed. "Knew I could count on you for stuff like that."

Katie chuckled.

"You can count on me for anything Candy, I'm always here for you." Katie said.

"Ditto." Candice promised. "And that means you'll come dress shopping with me, right?"

Katie looked at Candice.

"Of course, it'll be so much fun." Katie said with a smile.

"All right! Cause we have to find your MOH dress too, you can pick anything you want, as long as the color doesn't clash, but we haven't chosen colors yet so right now, you're golden." Candice chuckled. "Anything you want."

"I feel so special." Katie said with a giggle.

"You should." Candice laughed. "Everyone else gets what I pick out for them."

Katie laughed.

"I love being your best friend." Katie said before she hugged Candice.

Candice giggled and hugged her back. "I love being your best friend too."

"We should go shopping now and find you an amazing wedding dress." Katie said.

"Works for me, we can put HBK in charge again, right?" Candice chuckled.
