"Yeah and I attacked the dude who was trying to get with her a while ago." he said lowly, so that the kids didn't hear.

She sighed lightly. "She called me when you two had the conversation that she wouldn't be around for your birthday. She told me that you weren't too thrilled about it and she switched some of her dates around so she could be here for you today. I didn't know you were on bad terms, though."

"If she changed her whole schedule to be around for me today, then I don't think we're on bad terms." he snorted. "Where is she?"

"Maybe she thought you'd still be irritated with her for scheduling work on your birthday." she shrugged. "She's at the Hard Rock. I was going to drop you off and take the kids for ice cream and a day at the park."

"Thanks, Maaaa." he said as he leaned over to kiss her cheek. "Later kiddos." he told the kids and then got out of the car and headed inside the Hard Rock.

Lacy saw him walk in... alone. She figured out pretty quickly what happened. She walked out to meet him, wearing this. "Your mom never could keep a secret." she laughed lightly.

"I kind of forced it out of her." he chuckled as he met up with her. He pulled her to him and gave her a kiss, wrapping his arms around her. "I fucking missed you."

"And I'm sorry for being all pissy when you told me you weren't going to be here for my birthday, but I get extra cranky when you're not around." he smirked. "Kind of glad I was though, it got you to change around your schedule and make it here." he said as he kissed her forehead.
