A Change for Once

Ellie was currently in the living room with Sophia, teaching her new words and trying to get her to walk. She was getting bigger everyday, learning how to talk more and so on. With her first birthday approaching, Ellie wanted her to walk already and hopefully would by then. Maddie and Ajay were with AJ for the week, spending some time with him. Colt was out at the gym with Punk, having their bromance time lol. It was rare for Ellie to be home alone and with one child,  so she was enjoying it and taking advantage of it. "Okay Sophia, try to say the word blue." she pronounced for her as she was helping her walk around.

"Boo." Sophia copied as she took some steps.

Ellie chuckled. "No, not boo." she shook her head. Blue." she repeated slowly for her.

"Booooo." she nodded with a giggle.

Ellie laughed and continued to walk around the living room with her. "Close enough, brat." she said and then looked over when she heard the front door open. "Daddy's home." she told Sophia, who suddenly was motivated in taking more steps, lol.

"Dada!" she grinned. "Hi Dada!" she called out, proudly showing her bottom tooth that came in.

Scott dropped his keys on the end table and saw Sophie taking wobbly steps towards him. He chuckled and went to scoop her up. "Hi Peanut." he kissed her forehead. "Hello Big Peanut." he said to Ellie and kissed her cheek.

"Hi hubby." she said as Sophia just clung onto Colt. "How was the gym with your boyfriend?"

"Lame, he's sprung on his wife at the moment." he snorted. "It was kind of nauseating, and made me miss you, so I came home."

"Aw, how sweet." she chuckled as she kissed his cheek. "I was going to make something to eat. Want anything?"

"Something fattening." he chuckled. "And a PB&J for Princess Peanut here."

"Me!" Sophia grinned.

Ellie rolled her eyes. "You spoil her so much." she snorted as she headed to the kitchen.

Sophia watched Ellie walk away and then grabbed at her blue shirt and said, "boo." Letting him know she learned a new word, lol.

"Good job." he chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Can you say your name?"

She frowned as she thought about her name. "Pea." she nodded.

He chuckled. "Sophia."

"Phia!" she giggled.

"Phia Bia." he chuckled and tickled her belly gently. "Lets go see how mommy's doing on that PB&J for you." he said as he walked her into the kitchen.

Sophia giggled when he tickled her and then clapped when they went to the kitchen. "Mama! Hi!" she grinned.

"Hi Sophia." Ellie chuckled as she finished up the sandwiches. "You're both just in time." she said as she put Sophia's PB & J on the table, as well as Colt's roast beef sandwich. "Lunch is ready."

Sophia let out a dramatic gasp. "Foofoo!"

"She is your daughter." he snorted as he put Sophia in her high chair and handed her, her sandwich.

"And yours with your appetite." She snorted as she handed Sophia her sippy cup.

Sophia just grinned and grabbed a piece of her sandwich, starting to eat. "MMMMMM!"

He chuckled and ruffled Sophia's hair. "Inside voice, peanut."

She just grinned and ate her sandwich. "Aw, she's getting so big. She'll be one next month."

"It doesn't feel like a year."

"I know." she said. "It flew by."

"Hey, Sophia. You're old." He teased her.

"Ah?" She asked as she bit into her sandwich.

"Nothing." Ellie chuckled as she kissed Sophia's forehead. "Maybe sometime after her birthday, we can try for another baby."
