Trying Again

Lacy had just gotten in from the store not too long ago and aside from dealing with a pervert that briefly followed her around the store, all had gone well. The kids were staying at Mary's house for a sleepover for the night since Mary asked for them for the night.

She decided to make Punk dinner to return his favor of taking care of her a couple of nights ago, and she wanted to do something nice before she had to go on the road for a couple of days. She could sense his frustration with her and didn't bother bringing it up with him because he tended to laugh it off and clearly didn't like talking about it. She made a pizza from scratch the way he liked and had just put it in the oven to let it bake while she waited for him to get home.

Punk had his gym bag over his shoulder as he unlocked the front door and walked into the house. He had just come from being at the wrestling school. Punk put the security code into the security system and put his keys on the table. "Anybody here?" he called out.

"Just me." Lacy said as she started to work on setting the table.

"Oh, hey." he said as he went by her to kiss her cheek in greeting. "Where are the little gremlins?" he joked.

"With your mom." she said. "she wanted to do a sleepover."

"How exciting." he chuckled and noticed she was setting up the table. "What are you setting up for?" he asked. "Need help?"

"Dinner." she said. "Since the kids were gone and I'm leaving for a few days I'd make you something. Just your favorite pizza."

He grinned a bit. "Thank you wifeeeee." he said as he kissed her cheek again. "I'll go shower up really quick and then I'll come back and join you."

"Okay." she said. "Sounds good."

He nodded and went upstairs to go take a quick shower.

While he was upstairs, she finished setting up the table. The pizza was still cooking, so she poured them some drinks in the mean time.

Punk came back down a short while later. "All fresh and clean." he snorted as he went into the kitchen.

"Thank you, gym rat."

He scoffed jokingly. "I'm offended." he smirked as he sat.

"Good." she joked and passed him his soda. "The food should be done in a few."

"Thank you.' he said as he took his soda. "You're going to eat too?" he asked with a mock gasp.

"If you keep making fun of me I won't." she snorted.

"Alright, I'll behave." he chuckled.

"So.. what'd you do today?"

"Went to the tattoo parlor to think up ideas for my birthday tattoo, then I spent most of the day at the school. We got some new students and it was their first training day.' he said. "Some were girls and were glad you weren't there to torture them today." he joked. "I took over with the torturing."

"Many a girl's dream is to get worked out by CM Punk." she snorted a little.

He snorted. "I turned that dream into a nightmare."

"Some like it rough."

"I suppose." he said.

"I think your pizza is ready." She said as she went to go check. She grabbed the oven mitts and took the pizza out and cut it. She grabbed him a few slices and brought it to him. "Careful, it's hot."
