MIL

Punk was...annoyed because of a certain guest in his home. Of course they didn't really talk to each other, but her side comments...and presence annoyed him. Plus, she wouldn't leave Lacy alone. He didn't like that. Punk came into the house, returning from a run around town. Lynn had seen him and made some usual remark or whatever. He went upstairs, heading straight for his room and climbed into bed where Lacy was, wrapping an arm around her waist and burying his head in her neck, placing a kiss there. "Save me from MIL before I kick her out."

She gotten injured at a show after she'd taken a bad bump, concussed with sore ribs. So Lynn's presence annoyed her as much as it annoyed Phil. "I'm injured, I can't even save myself." She frowned, squirming away from him a little. "You're all sweaty, go shower."

"You love my sweat." he joked. "But I will go shower for you my dear."

"Yes, go shower, you smell."

"Ah, loving words from my wife." he snorted and grabbed some clothes to change into, going to shower. Twenty minutes later, he came out of the bathroom, all clean and smelling nice. He put his dirty clothes in the hamper and then went back to bed. "How's your head feeling?"

"Horrible." she said. "And my mom isn't making it any better."

"Want me to kick her out? I can send her to a hotel or something."

"Then I'd never hear the end of it and I'm already nauseous." she shook her head gently.

"Well you can stay in here, I'll help you recover and do my best to keep her out."

"No, stay with me." she pouted gently.

Speaking of. "Claire? You're not sleeping, are you?" Lynn asked as she barged in to wake Lacy up.

"Knocking, mom. It's called knocking."

She ignored Lacy. "Phil, you shouldn't be bothering her. She needs her rest."

He chuckled and kissed her cheek. "That I will definitely do."

He was not ignoring her... "Phil, I said she needs her rest."

"She was getting it before you came in here."

"Unlike you, I came in to check on her, not disrupt her rest. I don't know why you have to encourage her to do that stupid wrestling." She shook her head.

"She loves it, so I support her." he told her. "Not that I think it's any of your business."

"Can you two go bicker somewhere else, I don't feel very well." Lacy pulled the comforter up over her head.

"You can't go to sleep, Claire! For Christ's sake," Lynn said exasperatedly.

"She's not going to fall asleep." he said. "Can you go...watch tv in the living room or something?" he told Lynn.

"For what? I am trying to help her and you're giving her a headache."

"I'm not going to argue with you." he told her. ''And she told me to stay in here with her."

"Mom, leave. Phil, stay." Lacy said from under the covers.

"Are you kidding me?" Lynn scoffed. "I just want to help."

"Just watch the children, please." She said. "I don't feel well and I want Phil to take care of me. You can help with the kids."

Lynn huffed and rolled her eyes, storming out and slamming the door behind her, making Lacy wince.

"Just think, we'll have more of that when she moves to Chicago." he said sarcastically.

"If you're trying to get me excited, it's not working." she said lamely as she pulled the covers from over her head. "I feel awful."

He frowned a bit. "Should I take you to the hospital or something?"

"No." she shook her head gently. "The doctor said this is going to have to pass."

"Well, I'll be here with you and try to make sure we're not bothered. I need you back at one hundred percent...I can't cook for myself." he joked as he kissed her forehead lightly.
