Their Valentine's Day

All the years that Punk and Lacy have been together, it hit Punk that they never celebrated Valentine's Day, lol. It wasn't something they were crazy about, but this year he wanted to celebrate the day. They had a pretty tough time a couple of months ago and luckily they were moving on and doing better. He felt like they still weren't at one hundred percent, especially since the kids were always around Lacy and everything. Punk wanted to do something special for Lacy and tonight, he was doing just that. Punk left some clues around the house for Lacy and when she would go home, she would see them and hopefully follow instructions, lol. When she would arrive home and walk in, she'd see that there was a note that said 'Open Up!'. Of course, when she opened it, she would see a picture of Punk, Lacy and Colt with a note attached.

'Look at those two good looking people. Remember this? We hated each other. You were mean of course, ha. Kidding. ...I don't think Romance is my thing, but anyway, walk to the stairs for your next clue.

Mary had been dying to have the kids over for the weekend, so Lacy took them over there. She went into the house. "Phil, I'm back." she said, no no response. "Huh." she shrugged and went to hang her keys up, seeing the note there. She followed directions and opened the envelope, pulling out the note and the picture. She chuckled a little at the picture before reading the letter. Clue? "What are you up to, Brooks?" she asked and headed over to the stairs.

When she went to the stairs, she would see a toy car attached with a note. Of course, she'd open it and read the note.

'Welp, this is a model of the same car that we got stuck in together. I remember that day well. You thought I was crazy for driving like a maniac (I still do, but not the point)...and we yelled at each other after the car broke down, but...in a weird way, it was a good thing. We got along and well, my feelings for you grew even more. It was a good start in the right direction. Head on upstairs, there's another note for you."

Lacy laughed a little at the note with the toy car and carried with it with her as she headed upstairs.

On the bed was another note, attached with this in a box.

'Now this, this is from your first snow day in Chicago. I promised you that I would try my best to succeed in making our relationship work and that I'd try hard to keep you happy. Granted, I feel like maybe I didn't live up to it fully, but...a part of me thinks I did. I just want you to remember that day because I really enjoyed it and it was special to me to have you here, so that is what this necklace represents. Now, there's only one more note left for you and it's in the bathroom.

She picked up the box on the bed and opened it, gasping a little. She read the note and smiled a little... and she was getting a little restless, so she was glad that the last note was in the bathroom, which was where she headed next.

'Sorry to have you all over the place, but you finally made it, ha. Here's what I need you to do. Behind the door, there's something there for you. I need you to put that on and then on the counter, there are two items. They're both the same, but one is in gold and the other in silver, I couldn't pick just one and I love to spoil you, so. Anyway, get all dolled up and a car should be there to pick you up in about a half hour. It'll take you to where I am. Don't worry, I left a note in the car so you knew exactly where to go when you get here. I'll be waiting.

Behind the door was this and then these were on the counter. In the heart was a picture of him, her and the kids all together. There was also a pair of louboutins for her, lol. When the car would pick her up, it'd take her to a hotel and the note that Punk left told her what room to go to.

"Phil.." she chuckled as she finished reading the note and saw the dress and the jewelry and the shoes. She put them all on, along with the necklace he bought her, and did her makeup. Sure enough, the car came a short while later, and she made sure to lock up before getting in the car. She saw the note about where the car would be taking her and geez, it was a nice hotel and the room number. They got there in a short amount of time and Lacy headed upstairs to the room.

Punk was dressed in a simple white button down shirt with a pair of black dressy pants. The door was open slightly so that Lacy could walk in and see the room. When she walked in, she would see the room and rose petals on the floor, leading her in. There was a table set up for their dinner with candles and rose petals around it. The bathtub had candles and rose petals around the edge and the bed had rose petals as well. He stood by the table with a single red rose in his hand as he waited for Lacy. He just wanted this to be perfect for her.

Lacy used the keycard she was given to open the door and walked in, taking in the surroundings of the room and grinning widely when she saw Punk by the bed. Damn, he looked good.

He smiled at her and walked towards her, kissing her cheek. "You look beautiful." he said and handed her the rose. "For you."

She accepted the rose with a smile and kissed him softly. "You don't look too bad yourself."

"I didn't want to upstage you." He joked. "Did you like everything?"

"I love it." She grinned. "Though I didn't take you to be a Valentine's kind of guy."

"I felt like it this year. I wanted to do something special for us. We hardly have time to ourselves with the kids being all over us, so I figured what better day than today."

"You're so sweet." She kissed his cheek.

"I try." he chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her. "There's dinner for us and then if you want, you can take a nice relaxing bath and we'll be totally uninterrupted."

"Oh?" she asked. "What's for dinner?"

"There's pasta with marinara sauce and some oven baked chicken with some wine. Well..for you obviously." he told her. "Then for dessert we have chocolate covered strawberries."

"Sounds yummy." she laughed a little.

"It will be." he said. "Shall we?"

"We shall."

He pulled her seat out for her. "After you."

"Thank you." She said as she sat down. "Well.. I see why your mom wanted the kids this weekend now." she laughed a little.

"She did legit want them before I told her about this though." he said as he pushed her seat in and then went to sit down as well.
