What If? V

"Kids aren't my thing. They're gross." she joked as she stuck her tongue out.

"Please." he snorted. "I'll just watch tv on the couch, but go on." he said and went to unpack his things.

"In here." she said as she went to open the door. "Yes?"

"Here are your bags, m'lady." he said as he handed her, her bags. "Are you up for a ride around town or are you too tired?"

"Thanks." she said as she took her bags and set them aside. "And no, I'm good actually." she nodded. "So we can ride around town."

"Cool." he nodded. "I'll be downstairs. Come down whenever you're ready."

"Okay." she said and went back into the room to put her shoes back on. "So...I guess you're staying in here while I'm gone?" she asked Lacy.

"What else am I supposed to do?" she snorted.

"Get laid." she joked with a wink as she grabbed her jacket and put it back on.

"Goodbye Ellie." she rolled her eyes.

"Tough crowd." she joked. "If you need me, just text me. Hopefully we'll be back soon." she told her and then left the room, heading downstairs by Colt. "I'm all set."

"We'll be back." Scott told Punk as he went by with Ellie. "Ellie, any words of advice for lover boy here?"

"...run?"

"Thanks." he snorted.

"Just give her some space. I don't really know why she's being like this, but hopefully something changes." she said.

"Mhm. You two go on." Punk said. "I'll just watch some movies or something."

A few hours later, Lacy was still awake and arguing quietly on the phone. Ellie wasn't in the room so she was still out with Scott or she banged him in a closet somewhere. lol. Deciding she didn't want to wake up Punk and Colt's friend, she took the conversation on the phone. She didn't notice Punk downstairs or else she would have put on some bottoms.. she was currently in a tank top and a pair of lacy boyshorts. "Yeah, but you can't keep doing this every time you realize that I'm done with you." she shook her head. "it's not fair to me and I really don't feel like putting up with your crap anymore.

Punk was just flipping through channels when he heard Lacy. He could tell she sounded frustrated and upset, so he wanted to ask what was wrong, but thought against it as he heard her still talking. He would ask her when she was done if anything, that's if she didn't snap his neck, lol.

A few minutes later, she was beyond frustrated. "I'm not talking about this anymore. You were the one that dicked me over and I might have taken you back before but I'm not doing it again. I'm done. ...yeah, okay, I'm a bitch. Whatever. I'm a bitch that's doing fine without you. Lose my number." she hung up the phone and threw it down on the counter, sighing heavily and running her fingers through her hair.

Punk gave her a few minutes and then headed over to where she was. If anything, he'd just say he was in the kitchen for a glass of water or something. He cleared his throat a bit. "Uh, you alright?" he asked. Typical guy, lol.

She looked back at him, refrained from rolling her eyes and turned back to grab her phone. "I'm fine."

He nodded a bit. "Just making sure. Sounded like you were really frustrated with whoever was on the phone."

"Yeah well, men are stupid."

"I'll agree and say that we can be very stupid." he chuckled a bit, grabbing a glass of water. "...wanna talk about it?"

She arched a brow and looked back at him. "Are you gonna nag and try to talk to me tomorrow?"

He shook his head. "I'll knock it off if it really does bother you that much."

She looked at him for a moment before sighing. "I came to Chicago with this guy I was dating for a few years. I didn't want to leave my family behind, but he was threatening to leave me and at the time I really loved him, so I followed. We lived in this.. really shit apartment that we could barely afford, and he couldn't find work, so he turned to booze. We fought a lot.. I mean, like, fist fought. I usually won." she snorted. "I guess one day he realized that I wasn't going to let him beat up on me and he left me for some other girl. I got fired from my job and couldn't make rent, so I had to move out. I started working at the bar later that week because they were short on staff and Ellie took me in to her place when I let it slip that i had to find a shelter that wasn't full to stay at for the night. Even though the guy treated my like shit, I was heartbroken when he left me, so when he asked me to go back to him, I did. And it was the same old shit for another year. One day I just decided that I was tired of being miserable, and by that time I'd gotten enough money to get my own place, and I kicked him out. So the conversation I just had was him begging me to go back to him and how I wouldn't be anything without him if we stayed broken up, and how he's gonna run me out of Chicago the next time he sees me. I don't want to be in Chicago, trust me. But I can barely afford to make rent and pay my bills every month with my shit job at the bar, let alone up and move to another state."

He nodded a bit as he listened. "I kind of had a similar situation a while ago. I was dating a girl for about three years and we were very serious. We were talking getting married and everything, even though I'm not really the marriage material guy." he chuckled a bit. "Eventually I started getting asked to appear at more shows and was on the road more than usual. She ended up cheating on me with my older brother, who is a whole other story." he shook his head. "She knew it would get to me and it did. I left and moved in with Scott for a while. She kept calling me to get back with her and it was non stop, then one day she told me she was pregnant. Like a moron I believed her and took her back until I found out she lied about it. After that, I lost all contact with her and moved into another area of Chicago. When you said that I looked like the type to go through women, well...you were right somewhat because after that whole ordeal, I pretty much had a fair share of girls but it didn't really do anything for me, so I stopped." he shrugged. "I recently bumped into my ex and she's been bothering me too, but I'm done with her and I'm done with being treated like crap, you know?"

She nodded. "To hell with relationships."

"Well...to hell with dating shitty people." he chuckled.
