The Loss

It had been a few days since everybody was back home from being on the road. Ellie had enjoyed visiting her family in Cameron and it put her at ease and kept her relaxed. Punk and Colt were at their school tonight and were doing some renovations and stuff. The kids were at Punk's Mom's house for a sleepover with Punk's kids there and having a good time. Ellie had passed on the offer to go to the school with Colt and instead stayed home. She wasn't feeling well anyway and had really bad back pain. She ate earlier, but it must not have agreed with her because her stomach was killing her. She went to the bathroom and figured maybe she had to puke, but nothing came out. Eventually, she decided to just take a shower and call it a night. As she was undressing, she noticed that she was spotting and immediately freaked out. She called Colt's phone, but it went straight to voicemail. Same thing with Punk's phone. Finally, she called Lacy and hoped she was with them or would answer because she needed to go to the hospital and was in too much pain to drive herself.

Lacy was actually at home, enjoying the quiet she got for once, lol. Her phone rang and she groaned a little, answering it. "Hello?"

"Lacy." she said and Lacy could probably hear how freaked out Ellie sounded. "My stomach hurts so bad and I'm bleeding.' she said as she started to cry. "I tried calling Punk and Scott, but they didn't answer. It hurts to move."

"What? Oh, God." She had to keep in mind not to panic, she needed to focus on Ellie. "I'm on my way, El. I need you to call your doctor, okay?"

"O-okay." she said. "Hurry Lacy, I'm really scared."

"I'll be there, just call the doctor." She said and hung up, grabbing her keys and purse and rushing to the car. She'd call Punk on the way there or something.

She pretty much sped to Ellie's house and made it over to the other side of town in about 10 minutes. She used the key that Ellie gave her and made her way in. "El? Ellie?"

"Bathroom." she managed to get out. She was sitting on the floor and clutching her stomach.

Lacy rushed upstairs and saw Ellie in her bathroom, on the floor. "Oh God," she said lowly and went to help her up as gently as she could. She'd ask questions later. "C'mon El, we've got to get you downstairs and into the car.'

She walked with Lacy as best as she could. "This hurts so bad, Lacy." she winced.

"I know it does El, I'm trying to go slow." She said as she gingerly helped her down the stairs and out of the house before going to put Ellie in the car.

Ellie went into the car and tried her best to get comfortable and relaxed.

Lacy tried to call Punk and Scott again, with no answer. "Fuck!" she cursed and turned on the car, backing out and rushing towards the hospital.

"I don't wanna lose my baby." she whimpered.

"You're not going to lose your baby, El." Lacy said firmly. At least, she hoped she wouldn't lose her baby. "Just try to stay calm, we're almost there."

"Okay." she said as she tried staying calm.

Lacy drove them to the hospital and they got there a few moments later. She pulled up to the emergency entrance and Ellie's doctor and nurses were already waiting for her with a wheelchair.

The nurses helped her out of the car and put her in the chair, going to wheel her away.

In the meanwhile, Lacy tried to get a hold of either Scott or Punk.

Punk went to check his phone and saw that he had some missed calls. He didn't hear the phones ring because of the noise they were making with saws, drills, hammers, etc. He called Lacy to see what was going on.

The phone couldn't even ring twice before she answered. "Phil! Why the hell weren't you answering your phone!? Ellie's at the hospital and she's bleeding and there's something wrong with the baby. Scott needs to get here NOW."

He blinked and obviously got worried. "I'll get him there and we'll be on our way." he said. He'd answer her question later, lol. He hung up and looked over at Colt. "Scott.' He never said his name like that.

He didn't pay any mind to it, watching the guys work around the building. "Yeah man?"

"Ellie is at the hospital. She's bleeding and there could be something wrong with the baby. We need to go."

His head snapped over to look at Punk, and he stood up. "What?"

He nodded. "We need to go." he said as he grabbed his jacket and keys.
