On the Road

Scott and Punk were travelling on the last leg of their tour before they went back home to Chicago. They were hanging out in the living room area, watching tv and just talking. "I'm so excited to head back home, man," he told him while flipping through the channels.

"Lucky you." he said as he just watched the tv.

He rose a brow. 'Yesterday afternoon you were babbling about how excited you were to go home," he chuckled.

"I'm excited to go home to the kids." he said with a nod. "Lacy's all mad at me and I don't know man, I'm not really looking forward to her being all pissy with me."

He snorted, "Sorry man, but when is she ever -not- being pissy?"

"We've been good for a while." he said. "I mean if she gets upset with me, I usually know how to fix things or get her to talk to me again, but I don't think that's the case this time."

"What even happened?"

"She got mad at me because of what I said about your girl and because I was being moody over the holidays that are coming up. Apparently the kids are saying Christmas sucks and all that." he said. "It's like she thinks I'm going to ruin it for them or something."

"Maybe she thinks you already did, if she's that mad."

"Apparently so."

"So what are you going to do when you get home?"

"No clue whatsoever." he said.

"Well that's a start," he said sarcastically.

"She's being real difficult this time around. My calls were ignored the other night, then I talked to her last night and apologized and everything, but...ugh, I don't know."

"Maybe she was just in a mood that day?" he shrugged. "I dunno, what did she say to you last night?"

"Hm, well I'm a moody bastard, which I admit I am sometimes." he nodded. "Uh, that she'll just buy the kids some gifts and wrap it in newspaper and for me not to worry about it. I don't remember everything, but that was the gist of it. I apologized and told her that I am sorry, because I am. I feel horrible. She said she knows, but I think she just didn't wanna bother to keep talking to me. When I said that I missed her, she only said that the kids missed me and I don't know. I talked about Ally and Brandon, then we just called it a night and said goodbye."

He shook his head. "These women are always mad at us it seems."

"They're too damn sensitive."

"I'm back in Ellie's good graces." He chuckled a little. "But it seemed like for a while if I even blinked it was like setting off a bomb.

He snorted. "Lacy was like that with me...for every pregnancy. The first trimester, I was afraid to even breathe." he joked.

He chuckled. "Were you ready for it when she told you she was pregnant with Brandon?"

"Hm, well I was surprised." he said. "But I was ready. I just wanted to make sure she was ready too because we had the miscarriage before that and I know she took it hard, as did I." he said.

He nodded. "I'm ready... or I think I'm ready."

"...what are you really feeling?"

"Excited, nervous, nauseous.. overwhelmed." he chuckled a little, running a hand over his head.
