We're at it again

"Damn it, Phil," she let out a sigh of frustration. "Why the hell not? I haven't been here for three months. When is it gonna be clear to you that I don't want to be married to you anymore? It's not like I keep the kids from you. I'm willing to work with you, but I will get nasty with you and I will take you to court if you don't just sign the fucking papers," she finished as she shoved the papers into his chest. She was done being nice, she was done begging and pleading with him.

"Like I fucking care, take me to court. I don't have to sign the papers and I won't sign them...so if you want to be so fucking nasty and so rude about it, then get ready for a fight. I don't have to do a damn thing if I don't like it."

"You're not going to keep me trapped in a marriage that I don't want to be in, alright? You're not! You didn't even care about marriage, you didn't care about kids, you damn sure didn't care about it when you were out on the road and when I decide that I've had enough of you neglecting us, now you want to act like you care?"

"Are you fucking kidding me right now? I didn't care? Of course I cared!" he said as he shook his head. "I was on the road thinking about you guys most of the time and you have the nerve to tell me I don't care? How about you Lacy? You could have talked to me about feeling neglected, but you didn't. You took the selfish way out and just left. Did you ever think just how rough it was going to be for the kids? They have no idea what's going on and obviously they miss being here together as a family. So don't pull that card on me, I do fucking care."

"Yes Phil, the kids miss being here in this huge house with me while you're gone for most of the month and are only home for three, maybe four days. Hell, they see you more now than they did when they were living here? Don't try to make me look like the bad guy for doing what I felt was right for me and those kids. I mean, it's not like you're not still doing what you did before - spend a few days with them, buy them a few toys and hand them off back to me while you go to work. That's all you did, Phil, the only difference is that when you're upstairs at night, I'm not there. I don't really see the big damn deal." She said as she picked up the papers from the floor. "Stop being so difficult."

He shook his head at her. "You're really unbelievable. It's a shame that you've turned into a cold hearted bitch." he said as he took the papers from her. "I'm trying to save something that you know can be fixed, but it's like everything I do, you don't choose to acknowledge it.'' Punk looked the papers over and ripped them. "See you in court, right?"

Lacy glared at him in anger as he ripped up the papers. "Am I a cold hearted bitch because you can't get your way? Am I a cold hearted bitch because this is something you can't fuck your way out of? Please tell me Phil, so I can pass on the memo that Phil Brooks thinks that Lacy Black is a cold hearted bitch."

"You're a cold hearted bitch because you of all people should understand where I'm coming from. I can't control the schedule or how long I'm on the road for. I did my best to be here as much as I could. You were not the only one who was alone and miserable. I get it, I really do. You felt neglected and I'm sorry you felt that way, but it wasn't under my control." he said...and he was going to say something else, but he figured it wouldn't do any good. "Just forget anything I say anyway, obviously you're done with me and want nothing to do with me. When we get to court....I'll give you what you want, alright? I give up with you, it's no use. The one thing I never wanted finally happened, I became a failure just like my own father did...but you don't care about that, I don't even know why I bother." he said.

And that was when she got really angry. For one, if all he was going to do in court was grant her the divorce, then he should have just signed the fucking papers to begin with. And, "Really Phil? Of all the things in the world, you're going to try to guilt me with your fucking Dad? That's real low. No one was even talking about him, I didn't compare you to him, but to make me try and sympathize with because you bought your Dad into this whole mess? Really fucking low."

He scoffed. "Just leave Lacy."

"Gladly, Brooks." She shook her head angrily as she bumped past him angrily and left, slamming the door behind her loudly.

He tried to keep himself in check, since he had the kids there and wouldn't show his anger to them. They did nothing wrong. Once he made sure he was all good, he went upstairs. "We're here all alone now." he said as he went by them.

Brandon and Allison looked up at him quietly. They had obviously heard them yelling at each other. Allison had her lip poked out.

"Guys it's okay. No more yelling going on, that was the last time." he told them as he held Allison and kissed her cheek.

Allison rested her head on his shoulder.

"Um... nap?" Brandon suggested.

"Yes." he chuckled. "Let's all take a nap." he said as he started to head over to his bed. "Come on Brandon." he said as he went on the bed and tucked Allison in.

Allison snuggled under the covers as Brandon climbed up on the bed with them. "Daddy? Is Mommy ever coming back?"

He let out a small sigh. "I sure do hope so." he said as he leaned over and kissed his forehead.

"Oh, good. I don't like staying with Ellie. She no have bikes. Or you." Brandon admitted.

Punk laughed a bit. "Well, it'll all be fixed soon."

"Okay Daddy." Brandon said as he laid down.

"Good night guys."

"Night, Daddy." Brandon said.

"Bye bye dada," Allison said as she snuggled up to him.

"Yeah... it was pretty bad." Lacy said.

He nodded. "Let's just...never let it get that bad again."

She shook her head. "How did you even cool off after that?"
