Out of Their Busy Schedules [Katie/Ellie]

"Yeah, yeah." she chuckled. "This time."

Katie sat down on the bed and smirked.

"What makes you think you'll win next time?" Katie asked.

"Well, I'm not going to give up so easily." she said as she picked up Maddie, who yawned and rested her head on Ellie's shoulder.

"It would save you a lot of energy and time if you did." Katie said.

"As always, you're right."

"I'm not always right." Katie said.

"I think you are most of the time." she said, rubbing Maddie's back so she could fall asleep.

"Trust me I'm not." Katie said with a chuckle.

"Why do you say that?" she asked.

"Nobody is always right Ellie." Katie said with a chuckle.

"True." she chuckled as Maddie fell asleep. "Hey Katie?"

"Yeah?" Katie asked.

"You ever think about how our lives turned out? Like...did you ever think we'd be so lucky to have amazing husbands and great kids?"

"I always hoped I would but no I didn't think I would have been so lucky to have Randy, Jake, and Kayla." Katie said.

"I'm really happy I did get lucky though. I couldn't have asked for more." Katie said with a smile.

She nodded. "Same here. Even though it was a tough road to get here, I'm glad it worked out."

"Me too. We've got damn good lives if I say so myself." Katie said.

"We sure do."

"And the cutest kids and sexiest husbands." Katie said.

"Damn right. They sure are sexy." she grinned.

"Yes they are." Katie said with a giggle.

"We know how to pick our men." she laughed.

"We sure do but we're pretty hot ourselves, why wouldn't they want us?" Katie asked with a chuckle.

"Don't know." she shrugged as she chuckled. "Maybe we drive them crazy from time to time?" she joked.

"Maybe but it's fun." Katie said with a chuckle.

"I agree." she chuckled.
