Lacy's Birthday

She looked over at the clock, noting the time. "If you wanted to." She shrugged.

"Yeah, we probably should."

"You? Actually tired?" She smirked.

"Psh, never."

"Lies."

"Nope, now come on, bed time." he chuckled.

"Carry the birthday girl?" she grinned sheepishly.

"Sure." he chuckled as he picked her up.

"My knight in shining armor." She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Every once in a while...I try."

"Probably why I see myself with you long term. Otherwise I'd have to hurt you."

"Oh? Well I definitely don't want you hurting me." he chuckled.

"Well... not in that way at least."

He chuckled as he walked into his room and placed Lacy on the bed.

"Night." he said as he pretended to walk away.

"And just where are you going?"

"Well I'm not tired." he joked.

"Jack." She whined, holding her arms out to him for him to join her.

"Who is Jack?" he asked with a fake glare.

She kept the pout on her face and her arms extended.

"Fiiiiiiiine." he chuckled as he pulled her into his arms. "I take it you want some company?"

"Call me clingy. But I don't like to sleep without you if I can help it. I already don't see you enough." She admitted.

He frowned a little.

"Well hey, now we'll see each other more often." he smiled as he kissed her forehead. "And we'll get away from your mean mom, who likes to sniff my underwear." he chuckled.

"We'll get around to checking the patio off of your list." She chuckled lightly as she leaned against him. "Although if she interrupts us next time I'm just going to keep going."

He laughed.

"Sounds good to me. Should we lay down and get some rest now?"

"Okay." She leaned forward and kissed him lightly. "Night babe."
