Bringing Home Baby Madison

AJ had grabbed the baby carrier from the car after slinging Ellie's bag over his shoulder. "Glad to be home?" he smiled as they got into the house. "Welcome home Maddie." he said lovingly as he set the bags down. "Should we let her see her room?" he grinned like a kid.

"I'm very happy to be home." she smiled. "Oh, well of course, we should definitely let her see her room." she replied as she closed the door behind her.

He nodded as they started heading upstairs. "How you feeling, Ellie? You wanna go ahead and get some rest?" he offered.

"I'm fine for now, I'll probably lay down in a bit."

"No problem." he nodded. "Want me to cook dinner? OR do you wanna order in?" he offered.

"Hm, you being my personal chef or ordering in, I think I want a personal chef." she chuckled.

He laughed. "Well I can't do anythign too fancy...what would you like?" he said as they walked upstairs and went into Madison's room.

Since they didn't know if she'd be a boy or a girl, the room was yellow and there were a lot of neutral thigns in the room, but it was still very suitable for a baby and quite adorable.

"Maybe some spaghettis or something along those lines." she replied as she smiled at Maddie who woke up.

"Good Morning sleepyhead." she cooed.

He nodded. "Coming right up...hey sweetheart." he smiled brightly at Madison.

"Okay...want me to start now?"

"Sure." she nodded as she picked up Maddie.

"Alright...I'll let you know when it's done." he smiled as he headed back down to the kitchen.

"Okay." she nodded.

She showed Maddie around the room and then went to Ellie and AJ's bedroom. Ellie yawned as she climbed into the bed with Maddie and placed her on the bed. She then slept on her side as well.

"This is our room Maddie." she whispered as she stroked the top of Maddie's head and kissed her forehead.

AJ got to work on their dinner. Granted he wasn't a fantastic cook, but he wasn't shabby either. He finished their spagghetti and headed upstairs to tell Ellie dinner was ready. He saw Ellie and Maddie on their bed and it brought a big smile to his face.

He leaned over and kissed her temple. "Hey beautiful..." he whispered. "The food's ready...you wanna eat now?"

She had jumped a little when AJ walked in and kissed her on the forehead, since she was so wrapped up with staring at Maddie.

"Oh yes..." she said as she chuckled a little. "I'll go eat now."

He nodded. "Want me to stay and watch the baby?" he offered.

"Well I don't want to leave her alone, so that would be great." she chuckled as she stood up from the bed.

"No problem...I restocked the sodas so there are some in the fridge and your dinner is on the table." he said, moving onto the bed with Maddie.

"Alright." she replied as she left the room and went to eat.

Twenty minutes later, she finished her food and washed her plate, then headed back upstairs to her room.

"Psh, that was the best meal ever." she chuckled as she went back on the bed.

He smiled, looking up. "How is it that she looks so amazingly beautiful when she sleeps?" he asked referring to Maddie.

She smiled.

"I don't know. Maybe it's because she's just so content and happy to be home."

"Maybe...so you got enough to eat?" he asked, smioling at Ellie lovingly.

"Definitely. I think I'm all settled with food for the night." she smiled.

"Well that's good." he smiled. "I love you, Ellie."

"I love you too." she grinned.

"Have we figured out how long she sleeps every night?" he asked curiously.
