Getting it Confirmed [Lacy/Ellie]

After being in the doctor's office for about an hour and a half, Ellie was finally able to leave the examination room and went to sit out in the waiting room as she was told. There was still some things the doctor wanted to go over. It's confirmed. She is a month and a half pregnant with AJ's baby. She was actually able to get an ultrasound and had a sonogram of the baby. Although AJ didn't know yet, she would tell him soon, perhaps Valentine's Day since it was right around the corner. She sighed a little as she opened up one of the pamphlets and started to read some more information.

Lacy walks out of the examination room, going over to the nurses station and handing her the clipboard with her information for some new birth control that she wanted to try out to switch with her other one. She noticed Ellie with a slightly confused look on her face, but goes to sit next to her anyway. "You here for BC too?"

Ellie closed the pamphlet and was a bit startled at the voice.

"Oh hey Lacy. Um, well not exactly." she chuckled.

"Then why are you here? Only women who need birth control or who are pre--" She falls silent. "...what?"

She sighed and nodded.

"I'd go with the latter of what you were going to say." she said biting her lip.

"Wow." She lets out a breath. "So you and AJ.."

"Yeah." she nods.

"Why didn't you use protection?"

"Well since the doctor said I wasn't going to be able to conceive, we figured there was no point. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that I'm pregnant, just don't know how to tell AJ."

"And how far along are you again?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Six weeks. So about a month and a half."

She raises an eyebrow. "So you've been pregnant for nearly two months and you haven't told him?" she looks down at her stomach that was hidden by her oversized shirt. "You're probably showing already, El."

She sighed.

"I know, I'm horrible. Oh and I'm not showing much yet. It's still pretty flat."

"Regardless Ellie." She sighs. "Whether you're showing already or not, you need to tell him. He deserves to know."

"I know that Lacy. It's just a matter of how to tell him and when."

"Do you think he'll reject you or something?"

"Honestly, I have no idea. I just feel like I am sort of ruining his life."

"El, the way you talk about this guy, he really loves you. I don't think you'd be ruining his life."

"Well when I told him I wasn't able to conceive, which obviously I did, he was there for me and told me he would do anything to get me pregnant again..." she started as she thought.

"...but it's just now, I feel as this baby is going to change his life dramatically and he may not be ready for it right now."

"Well don't automatically assume the worse, Ellie."

"That's just how I am." she chuckled.

"Well knock it off." She chuckles.

"Sorry." she chuckled.

"Well... are you excited? A least a bit?"

"Oh I'm really excited. I'm so happy."
