A Look Into the Future?

"If you want me to take more time off, just say the word and I will."

"The word." he smirked.

She snorted a little. "I'll cut back."

"It'll be good for you too." he said. "It won't drive you as crazy and you can rest some more."

"And you can get a break for the kids." she chuckled a little.

"I can handle them." He said. "What I can't handle is your friend coming over and trying to set up Maddie and Brandon all the time. I need you to be here and beat her up."

"Maddie and Brandon can't stand each other." she chuckled.

"Get that through her head." he snorted. "She swears they will date somewhere down the line and get married."

"That'll be the day that hell freezes over."

"Like...I wouldn't even know how to react." He snorted.

A few years later...

Punk and Lacy were sitting in a restaurant with Brandon, waiting for Brandon's girlfriend and her parents to show up. "Did she say if she was on her way?" Punk asked.

"Yes, Dad." Brandon groaned, messing with the collar on his shirt. "I don't know why we gotta do this stupid dinner anyway."

"We just want to get to know her and her family." He shrugged.

"It's not necessary." he grumbled.

'What was that?" Lacy asked.

"Nothing." he sighed.

Madison walked into the restaurant with Ellie and Colt a little late and they were headed towards where Brandon and his parents were seated. "Oh look, Lacy is here tonight too." Ellie said as she noticed them.

"Ha, yeah. What a coincidence." Madison tried to play it off, lol. "Let's go say hi." Maddie nodded.

"Hey guys." Ellie said, once they made it to the table. "Funny seeing you here."

"Yeah, we're waiting to meet Brandon's girlfriend that he doesn't want us to know about." Lacy chuckled. "Family dinner for you guys? Where's Ajay?"

Brandon groaned softly to himself, running his hands over his face. Clearly uncomfortable lol.

"Oooooh, a secret girlfriend? I like it." She chuckled. "Ajay is out with some friends and Sophia is at her grandma's house." She snorted. "Maddie wanted to bring us to eat." She shrugged.

"Yeah so um, let's sit here." Maddie said. "I kind of have something to tell you all anyway."

"Dinner with my family and my boyfriend? Best day ever. You can sit next to me." Punk told Colt.

"Madison is my girlfriend." Brandon blurted out.

Lacy was going to take a sip of water and choked, looking over at Brandon bewildered.

"What?" Scott's jaw dropped. "Maddie?" he glanced over at her. "Is this true?"

She looked over at all the adults, then nodded as she held Brandon's hand in hers. "Mhm." she nodded. "We've been together for a while now."

"....oh my gosh." Ellie said as she sat there in shock.

Punk was patting Lacy on the back, then looked over at the two. "...what are your intentions with my son?" he asked, lol.

"Huh? Um..." Maddie said.

"But you two can't stand each other." Scott said.

"Do you plan on marrying him?" Punk continued, lol.

"Um, I'm not sure." she chuckled nervously as she tucked some hair behind her ear. "Uh, we were at a party a few months ago and some guys were messing with me." she said. "Brandon jumped in when they wouldn't leave me alone, he stood up for me and well, I guess saved me in a way." she told them. D'aw, her Prince Charming. "Ever since then, we hung out more and started to be more friendly at school and stuff, then we just started dating one day."

Scott smacked his teeth and slapped Punk upside the head. "Stop."

"You did that for her?" Lacy asked after she collected herself.

"Well, yeah." Brandon rubbed the back of his neck and turned a bright shade of red.

"That is so cute." Ellie grinned.

"Yeah." Maddie smiled. "He's the best."

"Ow." Punk said as he rubbed his head. "I'm just asking."

"Guys.." Brandon blushed.

"If anyone should be asking those questions, it should be me asking Brandon.

"Well, I don't see you asking." Punk said. "He would treat her like a Princess though."

"Daddy." Maddie said. "Punk. Be nice guys."

"Well, I always said you two would end up together." Ellie said. "I don't know how serious you guys are, but you both need to make sure you treat each other with respect and well, if you care about each other a lot, treat each other well."

"I am nice, cutie." Scott put his arm around Maddie's shoulders.

"And no matter happens, Madison is always right." Lacy nodded. "Right, honey?"
