Lacy smiled a little and walkd out first, walking with him downstairs and going to collect Brandon and Allison.

Punk headed downstairs. "I'll see you guys tomorrow."

"Bye bye." Ally waved.

"Bye Daddy." Brandon said.

"See you later." Lacy said and headed out.

Over the next few days, Punk had been getting things in order with his family and in that time, John had come to see her. She was suddenly conflicted with her feelings for Punk, so she tried to forget them by spending time with John. And while she usually did forget about him temporarily, those feelings always came back, so she'd end up back.. underneath John, we'll say. He might have to explain the scratches on his back when he goes back to work.

She walked him downstairs in one of his shirts and saw him to the door, giving him a kiss goodbye. He'd be gone for another two weeks.

Punk was heading over to Lacy's place to get his clothes that he had left there. He was still helping his sisters out and dealing with the loss. As he approached her front door, he felt a little awkward because....John was there and Lacy was wearing his shirt...obviously he knew what that meant. He cleared his throat a bit and scratched the back of his head. "Should I just come back later?"

Lacy pulled away from John, seeing Punk. Well, talk about awkward. "No, no," she said quickly.

John rose a brow and looked at Punk. "I was just leaving. Sorry for your loss." he turned to Lacy and kissed her forehead. "I'll see you later." He left.

That left her with Punk. "Come in." she stepped aside to give him room to walk in. She was gonna try to let this be not awkward.

"Well yeah, but my sisters really need me right now, so I'm going to stay with them for a few days or weeks."

"Nothing, I just... thought you'd stay a little longer." She shrugged lightly.

"I was going to, but they're still dealing with it pretty hard and I told them I'd stick around and help them out. Besides, you need your space and all that." he told her. "I appreciate you letting me stay here all this time, but I think I've overstayed my welcome."

"I'm not going to get in the way of you spending time with your family... especially in a time like this, but it was only a few days. You weren't overstaying your welcome, I liked having you around. I..I missed you." She sighed and crossed her arms over her chest.

He blinked...a bit surprised that she would admit that. "...you have?" he asked.

"Yes." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I have. The days that you stayed over here with me cooking for you and you spending time with the kids and us sleeping in the same bed together, just enjoying each other's company... I've really missed it."

She sighed heavily and rubbed the back of her head. "I really, really regret pushing so hard for the divorce."

"I should have kept fighting it, but you really wanted it and I didn't want to keep you so...trapped with me anymore, so I gave you what you wanted, Lace. We can't really change things."

"I was just so hurt, upset and lonely, Phil... I was miserable, but I'm even more miserable without you. I can fix it." She stepped forward to grab the sides of his neck. "I can leave John and we can start over."

He sighed. "You know I want nothing more than to be with you, I've been waiting months to hear it from you." he told her. "I can't be with you until you let John go. Yes, I'm insanely jealous that he's with you and that my kids like him better than they like me...but I just don't want him to think I've been trying to be with you all this time...like if I planned this or something."
