Making Up

So...ever since Ellie had gotten into the car accident, everything had fallen to shit, lol. Scott and Lacy were mad at each other and of course, Ellie felt bad. Then, they had a lot of bad things to say to each other online and well...it got pretty bad....like really bad. Things were said that shouldn't have been said. Ellie was disappointed with both of them to be honest, she just didn't understand why they were so mad at each other. She was home, watching tv in the living room. The kids were with their father this weekend, so it was kind of a breather for her to relax. Colt was traveling for his shows and she hadn't really talked to him or Lacy for that matter. She just wanted things to cool off between everybody.

Scott knew he was in deep shit with Ellie for what happened with Lacy a little while ago. She was hardly talking to him, so he knew he had to make it up to her. He had a few local shows in town and was done for a few days. He made his way over to Ellie's house and let himself in. "El?" He called for her. Maybe she'd respond.

"Living room." she said as she flipped through channels.

He came in and saw her on the couch. He walked over to her and kissed her forehead. "Hey, stranger."

"Hello there." she said. "How were your shows?" she asked.

"They were fine, a little lonely without those post-show phone calls I get from you." he said as he sat on the couch and put her feet in his lap.

"You mean the ones where I question you a billion times to make sure you're not injured?" she chuckled. "I'll get back to working on those."

"I didn't realize how much I liked those phone calls until they stopped." He smirked. "Made me think... I don't know, you were ignoring me or something."

"I'm not ignoring you." she said. "I've just been...trying to wrap my head around all the drama between you and Lacy. Especially after what I saw the other day, it's just all getting out of hand."

He sighed. "Ellie, that's between me and Lacy. Don't let it bother you, don't let it bother us. I thought we were okay, babe."

"I can't help it." she said. "I feel like it's my fault that you guys are fighting....and we are okay, it's just...after everything I saw Lacy tell you and then you going back at her with something...I'm more disappointed than anything that you two are like this."

"I didn't want it to get that far, Ellie." He rolled his eyes. "I mean, I apologized. I don't know what else she wants me to do, I really don't. I feel awful for what I said to her about her baby, but I wrote it and sent it before I could even think that it was a bad idea. I'm sorry if I disappointed you, but I can't make Lacy like me. It's up to her, and if this is how we're going to be, then that's her fault."

"I guess you're right." she said. "It's just weird."

He looked at her for a moment before pulling her feet off of his lap. "Pack a quick overnight bag."

"...okay." she said a bit confused, but got off of the couch and headed to her room to pack up a few things.

Scott waited for her while he grabbed his keys.

She came down with her bag shortly after. "All set."

"Then we shall go." He said as he offered her his hand.

"To?" she asked as she took his hand.

"It's a surprise." He chuckled and led her out to his car.

"It's a surprise." she mocked playfully. "Well can I get a hint?" she grinned.

"Your hint is that I'm offended at your hideous impression." He smirked.

"Whatever, it was a great one." she chuckled.

He smirked and opened the car door for her. 'Get in before I change my mind, woman."

"Fine, geez." she said as she went into the car.
