Second Time Around

"You'll be even more fun when you're cleared in a couple of months." he winked.

"No, we're not doing that anymore." She chuckled. "I get pregnant when we do."

"We'll see." he chuckled. "Ugh, I hope this goes by fast."

"You know it's not."

*Few Hours Later*

By this time, Lacy's contractions were a few minutes apart. She had gotten the epidural (for the first time, she didn't have one with Brandon), but it didn't seem to be working much, this still hurt like a bitch. "Okay, ow..." she frowned with her hand over her stomach. "I need a doctor."

"You think you're ready to push?" he asked.

"I want to." She sighed.

Just then a doctor walked in. "How are we doing?" he asked.

"Dude, she's in pain. Just make her pop the sucker out."

The doctor resisted the urge to roll his eyes at Phil and checked Lacy's vitals before going to see if she was dilated. "I think we're just about ready." He nodded. "Let me go get a nurse and we can get started on the pushing."

Lacy frowned. "I hate pushing."

"I would think it's better than getting sliced open."

"Meh." She pouted at him as the doctor came back in with the nurse, and in his scrubs. "Are you ready, Mrs. Brooks?"

"No," Lacy grumbled.

The doctor got situated where he needed to be and looked up at Lacy. "Alright, I'm going to need you to push."

"Hell," she cursed and started to push with a grimace on her face. "Okay, ow ow ow..." Epidurals ain't shit.

Phil stood by Lacy and was going to attempt to encourage her. "Push hard, the sooner the better." he said.

"I'm pushing," she said in a strained voice.

"And rest." The doctor said, and Lacy stopped pushing for a minute. "We've still got a little while, but you're starting out."

She sighed, "Damn it."

"Looks like this one is stubborn."

she sighed and rolled her eyes, "It needs to knock it off."

"Alright, let's try again."

Lacy started to push again, grabbing Phil's hand. Sorry if she broke it.

"Uh...OWWWWW...." he said being obnoxious, like he is during his matches.

"Shut up," she groaned as she continued to push and squeeze his hand.

[[lol that was hilarious. *hits floor* "OWWWWWW"]]

"Yes ma'am." he frowned in pain.

*A little while later*

She had been pushing for a while now, and the damn kid finally decided that she wanted to make an appearance.

"A few more pushes and we're all done," the doctor assured her.

"I don't want to do this anymore." She panted.

"You have to do it, that way no more pain and we can see our stubborn kid."

She had a lot of nasty comments to shoot at Phil for how -simple- he was trying to make this sound, but held off.

She continued to push for a little while longer before she heard a small child start to cry.

Only when the doctor announced, "It's a girl!" did she let herself relax.

"You did great." he told her as he kissed her forehead. "Now go to sleep." he joked as he watched the doctors mess with their baby.

"Not happening." She responded with a tired chuckle as the nurse brought their daughter over to them.

"Eh, it was worth a try.'' he shrugged. "You know, we make cute ass babies." he said as he looked at his daughter.

The doctor handed the baby to Phil and let them be alone.

Lacy looked up to look at her daughter. "Yeah, we do. You're the last one, kid." she joked. "What did you want to name her?"

"Hm, how about Allison?"
