Out of Their Busy Schedules [Katie/Ellie]

It was a long day for Ellie. She went to the mall with Madison, buying her some winter clothes and other things she needed. Shopping with Maddie was always a process because she wouldn't stop moving around. Anyway, she got through it. After they finished shopping, they relaxed in their hotel room for a bit, before changing into their pajamas and taking a nap. They woke up and Ellie decided to pay Katie a visit. It had been a while since she and Madison had seen her, so she figured she would go now. Walking with Maddie, she went to Katie's hotel room and knocked on the door.

Katie was watching tv as she ate a carton of ice cream. The kids were with Randy's parents and Randy was working out in the gym downstairs so she was by herself. When Katie heard a knock on the door she put the carton of ice cream on the bedside table then got up off the bed and walked to the door.

"Hey." Katie said with a smile after she opened the door to reveal her sister and niece.

"Hola hermana." Ellie chuckled as she hugged her.

"Auntie! Hi!" Madison grinned.

"It's good to see you both, come in." Katie said as she moved to the side to let them in.

Ellie and Maddie walked in. "So what were you doing?''

"Watching House and eating ice cream. The kids are at Randy's parents and Randy's working out so I've been here all alone." Katie said with a small pout.

"Aw poor you. I thought Jake and Kayla would be here, which is why I came with Maddie." she chuckled.

"Nope, they're back in MO. They've both got a cold and I wouldn't want Maddie sick but there is an arcade downstairs if you want to keep her busy." Katie said.

"Oh that sucks, I hope they feel better." she said. "Maddie can stay here, she'll be going to bed soon anyway."

"Thanks." Katie said.

She nodded.

"Okay. What do you want to do in my boring hotel room?" Katie asked with a small chuckle.

"Uh I don't know...I just came to check up on you." she chuckled.

"Oh...so how have you been?" Katie asked.

"I'm...really good." she smiled. "You?"

"Good...am I being paranoid or did that pause before you said really good mean something is actually wrong?" Katie asked.

"You're being paranoid." she laughed.

Katie chuckled.

"Just making sure." Katie said.

She smiled at Maddie.

"How are you Maddie?" Katie asked.

Ellie chuckled as Maddie waved. "I good! Look, I'm big girl." she grinned proudly.

"I can see that. You want some ice cream?" Katie asked.

"Mhm, yeah." she nodded.

"I hope you like cookie and cream." Katie said with a chuckle as she grabbed the carton and handed it to Maddie with a spoon.

"She loves it." Ellie said as she helped Madison feed herself.

"mhm, yummy."

"Good. I love it too, that's why I have a bunch of tubs of that ice cream at home." Katie said with a smile.

"Figures." Ellie teased.

"Oh shut up." Katie said with a laugh.

"What? You just always loved it."
