Just the Two of Us [Randy/Katie]

He had decided that Katie and himself needed to get away for a bit. It had been a month since Jake was born and Katie had been at home and working from home non stop and Randy had been on the road for the past two weeks and wasn't able to spend enough time with Jake & Katie. Besides that, Randy and Katie didn't really have any time to themselves recently and he decided that they needed a little time to catch up.

He waited downstairs as Katie finished getting dressed and watching Jake sleeping in his playpen.

Randy didn't tell Katie anything about tonight, but he had something planned up his sleeve. He had packed for her and rented a hotel room for the night, so they could get away and not worry about a thing, even if it was just for the night. It would be only the two of them. He had even called Katie's sister to watch Jake and she happily agreed to do it.

There was a knock on the door and Randy went to answer it.

"Hey." Ellie smiled.

"Hey. Thanks so much for doing this." Randy said letting her in.

"No problem. I didn't know you had such a romantic side to you." she teased.

"Ha ha. Well we both need a break and this was the way to do it."

"That's nice. So where's Katie?"

Randy shrugged.

"Katie, are you ready yet?" he called out.

"Yep." Katie said with a smile as she came down the stairs wearing a red dress that had a golden chain around her waist and red heels.

She ran a hand through her hair that she just finished curling.

"Do I look okay?" Katie asked.

Randy looked at Katie in awe.

"Y-you look beautiful." he said walking up to her and taking her hand, bringing her downstairs.

Katie's smile widened.

"Thank you, you look very handsome." Katie said before she kissed Randy.

"Thanks baby." he said as he kissed her back.

"Yucky." Ellie giggled.

"Hush." Randy chuckles.

"Alright you two, have fun and don't you worry about anything Katie, everything is going to be just fine here."

Katie walked over to Jake.

"You be a good boy." Katie said before she kissed Jake on his head.

"Yeah because he's really going to throw a party." Ellie joked.

"Get out of here, I've got this." Ellie chuckled.

Randy nods.

"Yeah, come on Katie. We're going to be later for dinner."

Katie looked at Jake then Randy.

"Do we have to leave him here?" Katie asked.

"Yes." Randy nods.

"But...fine." Katie muttered.

"He'll be fine." he chuckled.

"You don't know that. Someone might kidnap him." Katie said.

"You worry too much, I promise he'll be fine."

Katie looked at Jake then sighed.

"Fine." Katie said before she walked over to Randy.

"Oh relax." Ellie chuckled.

Randy shook his head and kissed Katie tenderly on her forehead.

"He'll be fine. Now, let's get a move on."

"If anything happens to him I'm killing you both." Katie said.

"He's going to be fine. Let's go." Randy says as he opens the door for Katie.

Katie moaned then grabbed her coat and walked out the door.

Randy closed the door and wrapped his arm around Katie's waist.

"Oh calm down, besides I thought it would be nice for us to get out for a bit. Just the two of us, like it used to be."

Katie looked at Randy then smiled.

"That's really sweet." Katie said.

"I try." he nods as he opens the car door for her.

"Thank you." Katie said as she got in the passenger seat.

"You're welcome, my lady."

Katie smiled then kissed Randy.

Randy kissed her back and then closed the door, and walked over to his side.

Once inside, he drove off.
