A Much Needed Getaway

The past couple of months had been pretty annoying for Ellie. She was still dealing with the kids being kidnapped and helping them recover and get back to themselves again, her engagement to Colt was almost broken off, she had been sick with the flu and whatever else was going around, then she was dealing with AJ and his new issue with her and now...well now she is dealing with morning sickness since she is pregnant again. She didn't tell Colt yet, but was planning on it. Anyway, all the stress was getting to her and she knew that it was probably getting to Colt too, so she talked to him and they were getting the hell away for the weekend and would just relax and have time to themselves, not stressing about anything. They were headed to this location, which was about a three hour drive from Chicago. She had been nauseous the whole car ride there, so she slept for most of the ride and luckily didn't puke, lol. When she woke up, she noticed that she was in the room already...which meant that Colt probably carried her up or she walked up. She didn't remember, lol. She looked around and didn't see him so..."Colt?" she called out.

He wasn't too far from her and walked into the room. "Colt's not here but Scott can help you." he laughed a little and went over to her, kissing the top of her head. "I didn't want to wake you so I bought you up. You looked really tired."

"Colt, Scott...you both look alike, I can't tell." she joked and nodded. "Ah yeah, I was excited for the trip last night, so I didn't really sleep." she chuckled.

"Well we're here now." he told her. "Sleep as long as you need."

"Oh I plan on it for the next two days." she nodded as she looked around a little. "This room is really nice."

"Nicer than it looked online." he nodded. "Do you need anything?"

She shook her head. "Nah, I'm alright."

"What'd you want to do tonight?" he asked her.

"Hmmm, well...we could have a nice romantic dinner." she chuckled. "And then take advantage of the jacuzzi we have here."

"That sounds like a good idea." he nodded and sat next to her, putting his arms around her.

"It's because I came up with it." she joked as she leaned into him.

"That's exactly it." he kissed the top of her head. "You gonna be alright? I know you haven't had the best few months, but you look like you're a little sick."

She sighed to herself a bit and figured....well, she should probably tell him. "I'll be fine...eventually." she nodded and looked at him. "I have something to tell you."

He rose an eyebrow. "What..?"

It was silent for a moment since she was nervous, but she needed to get it over with. "...I'm pregnant."

He glanced down at her. "What?"

She sighed. "I started getting sick last month and then I was late, so I took it as a count of maybe I was just stressed out. The other night I took like...five tests and they all came out positive."

He nodded a little. "How are you feeling about it all?"

"Well, I sure wasn't expecting it so soon...but I'm not going to lie, I am excited and happy and a little nervous." she told him. "But I'm ready for it." she nodded a bit.

"As long as you're ready for this, then so am I." He told her.

"...really?"

"Really." He nodded and smiled down at her. "If this is what you want, then I'm all for it."

She nodded. "Are you happy about it?"

"I've told you before that no matter what happens with the whole baby thing, I'd be okay with it." he kissed the side of her head. "So yes, I'm happy."

"Well...good." she chuckled a bit. "I just don't want you waking up tomorrow like oh god, this demon is carrying my child." she joked.
